What is the healthiest way for teenagers to lose weight?

I am 16 and extremely overweight. What is the healthiest way for me to lose weight over the summer? What is the healthiest way for teenagers to lose weight?
I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace. com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate. What is the healthiest way for teenagers to lose weight?
You definitely should not starve yourself while on a diet because you will only be slowing down your metabolism. You need to eat at least 1200 calories per day.I’ve been on this diet now and I have lost 13 pounds in less than a month. Basically I have been following The Biggest Loser Diet and it has been amazing. I have realized that now I can eat more [quantity wise] of healthy foods than I could of processed, junkie foods. Now I am almost never as hungry as I once was. First, I started cutting out all sodas, sugary soft drinks, and juices and instead I started drinking anywhere between 64-80 ounces of water each and every day. Drinking your water ice cold helps you to not give in to your cravings. Instead of snacking on junk foods try snacking on fruits and vegetables. Fruits can take the place of sweets that you would have been craving before. You should also make sure to watch your portion size because you could be eating the right foods but just too much of it. A great weigh to burn calories quick and get in shape is to do some sort of cardio activity for at least 30 minutes everyday. Personally I would recommend 45 minutes to 1 hour of cardio per day. Another great way to lose weight that will also help you tone up is to start a strength training program. Essentially you should be following through with your strength training program 3-4 days per week.

Here’s an example of what I eat every day;

Breakfast: 1 cup of cream of wheat [you can spice it up with bananas, fruits, spices, etc.]

Snack: 1 cup of grapes

Lunch: Half of a ham/turkey [protein] sandwich on whole-wheat bread

Carrots with a tiny bit of ranch dressing to dip it in.

1 cup Cantaloupe

Snack: ½ cup cottage cheese with mandarin oranges

Dinner: Chicken fajitas on Whole-Wheat tortillas

Dessert: Low-calorie ice-cream bars such as the “Skinny Cow” brand ice cream bars.

Hope this helps you (:
Eat a healthy diet of fruit, veggies, meat and increase your exercise routine. Avoid fast food, fried foods, limit carbs, sweets, sweetened drinks. Eat plenty of green salads, lettuce, kale, dark leafy veggies, tomatoes, cucumbers, strawberries, fresh pineapple, raw zuchinni, limit salad dressings, esp. creamy ones. Drink only skim milk, always eat 3 small meals a day, and a health snack in between meals and at bed time. Most important that you have an exercise program, and do it regularly. If you can, join a gym, and work hard at exercise for at least an hour. Start out slow, and work your way up. If you need to lose more than a hundred pounds, consult a doctor.
I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you'll want to keep going.

Good Luck
Hey, I am al so trying to loose weight I don't have much to loose but I know how you feel and it can get pretty overwhelming!!! But I know that if you really put your mind and heart into it you can do it. I don't know if you want to spend money or not but I would really recommend a personal trainer bc they take all your measurements, BMI, weight, and come up with a workout plans that helps you the most! I go twice a week and do cardie 3 times a week. You may think 30 minutes is a small amount of time but OMG do i get a work out!! But if your trying to do this on your own I would recommend a journal, write down everything you eat and drink lots of water!!! drinking water is the most important thing. Cut out anything that isn't water. divide your weight by two and that's how many ounces u should b drinking. Also start of making small changes bc if you try to change over night u will most likely fail! Also, jump rope, 6 minutes of jump roping equals out to be 30 minutes of walking. Good lucks hope this helped....O don't forget its okay to once and a while eat wat u like ur only human...right??
