How does the media affect teenagers sexuality and body image?

let me know if you know any decent sites to find information.

i'm also looking for previous research, theories and studies. How does the media affect teenagers sexuality and body image?
I think the media perpetuates the falsehood that ';everybody is doing it,'; when it comes to sex. It also promotes the Calista Flockhart body, rail thin with no curves.

Follow your own heart, not the examples you see in the media. How does the media affect teenagers sexuality and body image?
By stigmatizing the sex that teens have always been interested in (remember that a lot of humans married between 13 and 18 until just a couple centuries ago). Also, media feeds young people an idealized true love/love at first sight/happily ever after image wherein relationships that are meant to be should not take any work to be perpetually perfect. On the matter of body image, every culture has means of perpetuating an ideal of beauty with or without what we now call ';the media';. I think that mass communication may speed up the change and cause excess stress as conformists (and intentional non-conformists) try to keep up.
it creates a sence of perfection that people feel preasured to keep up with

as teenagers are vunrable and easily lead because the are just discovering who they are and they dont wana get it wrong because they feel the need 2 fit in. so they try to copie something whick has been prove 2 b populare.
