Is it better for teenagers to eat 3 meals a day or 5 small meals a day?

I was wondering if it is better for teenagers to eat 3 meals a day or 5 small meals a day. I have heard different things but i wasn't so sure as to which one is the best to do.Is it better for teenagers to eat 3 meals a day or 5 small meals a day?
5-6 small meals...lots of veggies and protien...drink tons of water..Is it better for teenagers to eat 3 meals a day or 5 small meals a day?
I think it would depend on the individual and the time they have.





My 8 year old doesn't eat very much at one time so some times she needs something in between.





It there is no weight problem, just do what works for them.





If they are getting the calories they need and a vitamin suppliment if they don't eat a balanced diet with fruits and veggies.
Not just teenagers but all people would be healthier if they ate 5 small meals per day. The human body was never designed to eat three large meals per day. I have heard people say they are hungry but it wasn't time to eat yet....so I assume they are ignorant to let a clock tell them when they can eat. I wonder if they have potty times too????
5-6 small meals...depends on the servings
Five small meals a day. That way you're full all day and you're getting your nutrients.
5 small meals is moslty eaten by athletes because it keeps your metabolism going for constant energy throughout the day
