Why do some teenagers from good homes end up morbid and morose?

My daughter is 10, and I could see her going there if we're not careful. She loves dark energy sometimes. Why do some teenagers from good homes end up morbid and morose?
It might be a combination of being sensitive and thoughtful, and the oncoming teen years. Kids, especially girls, I think, go through a lot of different stages at this time. Most of them make it into young adulthood just fine, though, despite all the ups and downs getting there. Why do some teenagers from good homes end up morbid and morose?
Its the way god laughs at you, you put all your love and energy in a smiling happy kid , who then hits puberty and becomes disgusted at every idiotic word you utter, and your stupid rules and cringes at the thought of being near you in public, and every one else's parents let them pick up bikies from bars near the crack whores at 3 am , why dont you. However God in his infinite humor has prepared the last laugh on them , they will have children one day and get it all back.

It is a defense of murder in most states that if your child is a teenager you can kill them, and no court will convict you
I'm 16 and I'm pretty well off, but I've hit pretty low. I'm guessing it's just hormones, because I wasn't crazy until I hit puberty. I don't think that I took too well to the adjustment between childhood and adulthood. I sort of avoided it. Anyway, it's just hormones and I'm guessing it will pass. I'm hoping it will.
some kids just get caught up in the wrong crowd when they get older
