How much do hormones affect a teenagers mood and how can a teen tell the difference between them and an actual?

problem. beacause sometimes i feel so depressed for no reason at all. i highly doubt i need medication. because right now i feel fine. but soem days i feel like life is just a hopeless thing to live.

how can i tell the difference and how do hormones REALLY affect your mood? How much do hormones affect a teenagers mood and how can a teen tell the difference between them and an actual?
hormones have a LOT to do with the way you feel right now...and it may sound contradicting but all of the feelings you have are REAL feelings... when i was young i suffered the same things....i really think that everyone does at your age...so you aren't alone even if you feel like that alot...and im sure that you also feel that nobody understands you or that no one will give you a chance...but hormones can not only affect your mood but also the way you feel physically...it can make you extremely tired or hyper depending on the hormone...like if a woman isnt producing enough testosterone then she can feel tired and miserable all the time...to much and a person feels aggravated and angry all the time...what i used to do is try to talk myself out of it...if i felt bad i would start looking at all the good in my life...even if it was a pair of shoes that i loved no matter how small...because that small thing would lead to a bigger thing and a bigger thing...and if you counter a good thing with a bad thing you have to counter that as well...like this

ex: i really like am lucky to have my playstation, BUT now there are other game systems out that i want but dont have...BUT i had a lot of fun playing the games i finished and i know a lot of kids that dont even have THAT system....

see?positive negative positive...

it always worked for me but if you need too always go and talk to somebody....i hope this helps...

EDIT: also keep in mind that it is very normal for everyone to get the winter blues..because most days are cold or cloudy and that can also affect your mood...How much do hormones affect a teenagers mood and how can a teen tell the difference between them and an actual?
Personally, I believe hormonal mood swings ARE a problem in themselves. I recommend that you treat them as such. I say that with a sincere hope that you don't let your problems run your life. The teenage hormone rushes are only one of the sets we deal with in the course of a healthy lifetime. Change happens and hormones are usually involved.

I kinda rely on my support network to let me know. When I'm riding a hormone rush, other folks can usually see it more easily than I can. I am lucky enough to have people I trust who will let me know.
i have the samething. The whole take for granted thing is 100x up. (oh ok i have an ipod touch big deal, yay i have a ps3 great. i yell at my parents 24/7 too.
