Is teenagers drinking at 14 years old considered a bad thing?

A bunch of my friends (not close friends) go to a certain place every saturday to drink alcohol apparently, and I don't feel very safe about it. One of them is a girl i fancy, so is what they're doing bad or is is drinking at 14 ok?Is teenagers drinking at 14 years old considered a bad thing?
yeah, it is illegal, plus if one of them gets sick or something from it, how are they going to get to the hospital or anything? because if one of them gets sick or something ALL of them will get busted.Is teenagers drinking at 14 years old considered a bad thing?
It is very bad and may show a propensity for abusing drugs of other kinds.





Alcohol is classically misused when abused -- people drink it when they're feeling down but alcohol is a physical depressant so it adds to emotional depression to make people even worse off.





Maybe the occasional swallow of beer or watered-down red wine at the family table but I would advise ANY fourteen-year-old to stay way away from the stuff.
It is very wrong to drink at such a young age. I think you should wait until you are at least legal to drink to even think about drinking. When you are younger than about 20 you tend to do things because you think it is cool, but the coolest thing is to be yourself and not try to do things you know are wrong. You don't want to have to wish you hadn't done this or done that because you were drunk and didn't know what you were doing.
Well I'll tell you what, Italians start drinking when they are very young by sampling a bit of wine from their parents glass...like I did. Italy has the lowest cases of alcoholism in the whole of Europe and in fact being drunk is frowned upon.





On the other hand Americans can only drink when they are 21 and have the highest cases of alcholism (relative to total population) in the whole world.





Not true about the age. It's how you start that matters. A sip of wine at the table when you're young shows you how drinking can be responsible. Your first drink at your 21st birthday party when you'll probably proceed to get smashed on alcohol is a very bad introduction to alcohol and probably THAT is why there are so many alcoholics in the US.

It's pretty bad.. I mean, a lot of kids that age experiment with drinking.. I drank on occasion at that age and now I don't go near the stuff. So I suppose it's good if that gets it out of their system... but bad in every other aspect. I know you want to help, but they probably won't listen to anyone telling them to stop unless they get caught! Just don't fall in with that crowd, because you really shouldn't drink until you're of age.
Your brain is still developing, and alcohol has a detrimental effect on brain cells. So it's your choice. But I would recommend that you wait until you're a little older. That's partially why the drinking age in the US is 21, most people's brains are done developing then.
Well since its illegal I would say its bad however how many adults now days didn't drink when they were young?





14 is a little young, but its normal for kids to want to and sneak drinks under the age of 21. I am sure almost everyone has done it before.
since your still in that development stage, alcohol can be harmful to your body and actually if you drink a lot of alcohol it can result in a smaller brain, that's what studies have shown.

not good for your body being as you are still developing and its illigal. i knew a kid who had an MIP in the 7th grade. i hope you are smarter than him and dont get yourself into that kind of trouble. alcohol is not worth the trouble.
Yes drinking at 14 years of age is a bad thing and it's also illegal, I suggest you surround yourself with new friends or don't hang out with them when they drink because that's trouble waiting to happen.
There are more people in early twenties now getting cirrhotic livers (potentially fatal and a lack of donor livers for transplant) because they started drinking in their early teens.
Drinking has no proven detrimental effect on the brain unless you're a dumbass. Also, it depends on your body, some people mature far faster than others.

l'd have to say it is. l am 16, and still drink - l just do it for fun, really. Even though my Mum died from it when l was 10.
its illegal and unsafe and youngsters cannot handle their drink at that age.i know cuz i started drinking at 12 and i was all ova the place wish i had taken my time
