I think tatoos are ok if it's little and can be covered/hidden.
And I think certain piercings look nice, but some piercings can just look trashy.What's your opinon on teenagers getting tatoos and piercings?

ya im 14 and ive got three holes in my ears my cartlidge and i just got my nose peirced and but as for tattoos i think teen should wait till there at least 18

I will follow my moms rule, when i was 16 she said she would sign for me to get a tattoo but I had to be 100% sure what i wanted and had to show her that the tat would have meaning for me and couldn't be anything like a band name or anything. Took me until i was 21 to really decide. My boys have the same rule, when they are 16 i will allow a tattoo only if they can prove it has a meaning to them. As for piercings I am ok with multiples ears or even a little nose stud but not going overboard. I don't think a 16 year old needs to be getting their tongue pierced considering the whole purpose is for sexual pleasure of another person.
I personally think tatoos are kind of trashy. But that's just an opinion. My other objection to them is based on fact; and that is, that they're permanent (or at least very difficult and painful to have removed). While they may be in style right now, at some point they won't be. And then you're stuck. My sister got a very small musical note tatooed on her ankle; back when she was playing harmonica in a blues band, it seemed pretty cool. But now that she's a professional business woman, she really regrets it! It's embarrassing when people comment on it.
As for piercings... I also think they're pretty trashy (aside from one hole in each ear). But I guess they're better than tatoos, since you can let the hole close up if you want to.
As long as my kids are living at home, I won't allow them to get tatoos or extra piercings (and thankfully, they don't want to). If they want to do it once they move out on their own, that's their choice... but at least they won't be able to blame me when they later regret it. :)

So yes, I think it is perfectly ok for a teen to get piercings and tattoos. It shouldn't matter that they are 16 or 35.. I mean, it's their body and it will always be only theirs.
And like I said, I HAD piercings. It's something I can undo or remove. About the tattoo, well, that's pretty permanent. I think it should be something with a true meaning to you. It doesn't matter if it's hidden or not, that is your choice. Just like you decide what shirt to wear.
Well, I just think that it's every individual person's right to choose what to do with their body. If you don't like it, don't talk to them.
Well as for tattoos I think A teen should wait till they are older, and know what they really want, and they are fully grown because the stretch and fade.
As for piercings, as long as they are not gaudging them all big, they can be taken out and heal. Just depends ont he person and what they get and where.

I think that they are fine . Tattoo over the age of 15 , piercing whenever they want after all they can always take it out. It depends what peircing they wanted though , if i felt it wouldnt look right on them i would seriously make them consider having a different one. =] xxx
I personally have no problem with tattoos and piercings... I've had my nose,lip,tounge,bellybutton and 4 in each ear although now i only have my tounge and ears the rest have healed
As for tattoo's i got my 1st done by my best mates bf on my 18th for free (he's a tattooist) an i got it on my lower back, then i got a butterfly on my ankle for my 19th and a 3 leaf clover on my hand when i was 20!
Now i'm trying to design my 4th tattoo...something for my children.
But i'm from australia and the law is now even if you have a parent or guardians permission they will not tattoo anyone under 18 at all!
I think piercings are totally fine because if you get tired of them and stop wearing them eventually the holes will close up. And even if they don't they are pretty tiny.
Tattoos are way harder to get rid of if you change your mind, which you most likely will between now and the time you die.
I think when done in good taste, it is fine. But rarely are teens thinking about what is in good taste. They are impulsive and living for the moment. And a tat that looks good at 20, doesn't look good at 55. And piercings can close up and heal if not wanted....unless the teen is an idiot and decides to guage them out until they are HUGE holes with bars and plates shoved through them. They are just destroying their bodies in my opinion.
I think piercing is no big deal because they are easily removed if you change your mind. Tattoos on the other hand are much more permanent. You think you'll like it forever but don't be fooled. Your taste is likely to change a lot over the coming years. So in short I'd say I feel sorry for teenagers with tattoos. I usually think ';You chump! You'll probably regret that one!';
well i got my first piercing when i was in 8th gread and my first tatoo when i was 16 i am 20 now and i have 4 piercings usta have 5 but my 5th one closed and i have 2 tatoos and ima getting anothing tattoo probley next weak but ne ways i think 16 is old enugh for ne tatto or piercing
Well I am 16 years old and have double peired ears, a belly ring, and no tattoos. I think teens shouldn't have too many peircings and tattoos should be kept to a minimum. When I have kids they are not to have tattoos(or should only have 1) until they move out.
I personally think teenagers can get piercings but as far as tattoos thats a little to much!
until their there a little older! then they can have tattoos but as for piercing they can get piercings at a trusted,safe, piercing place!
i think they should be allowed there first ear lobe peircing at 10 and if they want a second lobe peicing or cartilage peircing that should be alowed at 16.
tatoos its illegal til 18 and even then its looks weird.
Im 15 and have my tongue, lip, eyebrow and ears pierced. and im getting a tattoo of a butterfly in 11 months. Theres nothing wrong with then inless you call self expression wrong.
Well I say any teenager should be allowed to get any tattoo and piercing where ever they like. I love tattoos and piercings and I say it's their body and not yours so let them do what they want with it.
Trashy...............I wouldn't hang out with people who had tonnes tattoos and piercings. It just makes you look ugly. Its hot on some guys though : )
now days it is fashoin %26amp; really i think it should be small only for ur self not to show the world it is useless all over the body after some time it does look ugly
