Are teenagers more likely to get pregnant quicker than older women?

Are teenage girls more likely to get prgnant quicker than older women if they aren't protecting themselves? Is a 16, 17 year old girl more fertile? Are teenagers more likely to get pregnant quicker than older women?
When a baby girl is born, she is born with the entire amount of eggs in her ovaries that will be with her the rest of her life.

In my opinion, teenage girls have more chances of getting pregnant than an older woman for one reason only. They have sex for no specific reason other than the sake of saying they aren't a virgin anymore.

Some teen girls, or boys, don't use any kind of protection whereas adult women try to PLAN their pregnancies. As we age we sometimes find that we have reproductive problems. And that accounts for alot of problems.

Teens have sex and some do not seem to care about what could happen AFTER the act is done. Adult women are more mature and their lives are stable to the point they can afford to support a child. They're settled in their lives where a teen is not. Alot of teens do things on a dare or on on a whim. And I think that's what get us adult women so upset...teens having sex...not thinking of the consequences of their actions...not being responsible...teens having abortions or putting their child up for adoption. There are alot of parents in this world raising their grandchildren because their child didn't use common sense.

I don't expect alot of people to have my same point of view. But teens need to look at their future and what they would like to do with their lives. Having a child when you're 13, 14 or 15 really puts a crimp in your plans. Because they'd have to change their plans to include a child. Teens shouldn't expect their parents to bail them out of every hard situation they get themselves into. We have enough to deal with trying to raise you right. Are teenagers more likely to get pregnant quicker than older women?
Yes, for two reasons:

The teenaged girl generally hasn't had time to develop the health conditions that impair fertility later in life, such as scarring of the fallopian tubes from pelvic inflammatory disease (though she's very likely to get it if she has condomless sex with multiple partners, because it's sexually transmitted).

The other reason is that teenaged girls are usually having sex with teenaged boys, whose sperm counts are usually through the roof.
When you think about it, many many years ago when human life expectancy was a lot shorter and people only lived to be 35 or so, if you didn't have a baby in your teens, you missed the boat. Back then you couldn't wait until after 30 to have a baby. Life expectancy has changed and so has our view on what is a good age to have a baby but hormones are still hormones and that is what drives many young people to have sex early and sometimes pregnancy happens.
my doctor told me that yea a teenager is more likely to get pregnant because between the ages 14 and 22 is wen the body is most prepared for pregnancy but not every girl is emtionally ready for pregnancy so if girls read this please sont think taht jsut because ur body is ready that means u are ready
Im pretty sure teenagers would be more fertile.

Its like women who are 45 now, its hard for them to have a baby but its possible, it was on the news before that i think a 64 year old woman gave birth and it was her own conceived child.
Studies have shown women in their 20's are the most fertile and have the healthiest babies. However a teenage girl will be more fertile then a 35yr + woman.
Yes since the bodies of older women get old, teenagers haven't ';used up'; their body. So it's more likely that the teenager will get pregnant first.

I think teenage girls are more fertile, but please don't try until you know you are ready for a baby - they are 24/7 of bloody hard work!
well teenage girls, their cycle isn't exactly regular so they never know when they are ovulating.
i think they are more fertile which is sad really.
I dunno I ain't a doctor
yes for sure...your eggs are newer and much more fertile...
simple answer is YES
i think so
Fertility is not based on maturity. Your body is most fertile when it is easiest for you to PHYSICALLY have a child. Just because you are fertile when you are young doesn't mean you should.

Likewise, just because you can have a child at 45 doesn't mean you should.

Edit: Sorry to offend the old ladies. :(

  2. I believe the closer women are to puberty the more fertile because you start losing eggs when you start your period and it takes awhile to noticably have infertility problems but eggs in the teens are newer and fresher no matter what anyone says but women ovulate most in the 20s..im a young adult in my early 20s and I didn't ovulate much in my teens until more in the later teens and I would ovulate some months like 7 months a year but now it's every month and every symptom with lots of slimy discharge like clockwork BUT..my periods were the healthiest at 13-17 and I started having darker blood, less cramping and just less hormonal symptoms at 19..scientists say fertility peaks at 24 but I dont know if I agree with that..
