How do I safely find fellow gay teenagers to date in my area?

I am a 17 year old still in high school, and I have finally accepted myself and wish to embrace my life as a young gay man. Although I have come to accept who I am, I am not yet willing to be open with my parents.





I want a way to safely meet other gay people my age in my area. I want to find others to interact with and begin dating. How do I go about doing this?


Over the internet or what would you recommend?

As long as you are not able to be completely open and honest with all people in your life who matter to you, there is no such thing as safe. You really need to deal with that, and get the fear out of your life. Once everyone you know, love or care form knows and had dealt with any issues which coming out may present, then its time to move on to open and honest dating. In the meanwhile for ';closet dating'; use google to find gay suport groups in your area, they will present you a wealth of knowledge without draggin you out of the closet.
key word in your question 'safely' i would suggest not since youth of this age have hormones boiling over seem to play around to much and that is extremely dangerous.


wait a few years if you still feel the same find someone like yourself at college or community gay groups who are working through social problems,and or simply supporting the rainbow. then you can forge a serious long term monogamous SAFE relationship.

I swear where I'm at finding one gay person is like finding a needle in a haystack. Ugh! but you can always join gay youth clubs, talk to the youth there, conversate, hey they might even help you come out. No matter what you do though, make sure you stay safe alright?
