What are some volunteer services that teenagers can do?

My brothers say community service is now restricted for prisoners...(I live in Michigan; might this vary by state or not be true at all?).


I'd like to volunteer for some kind of charity, but I don't know of any in my area.


I can't get a job at fifteen *the age of everything raised* and so I'd rather do something else that's productive.What are some volunteer services that teenagers can do?
Volunteer at the YMCA, school, library, soup kitchen.
