What's the deal with teenagers sucking on pacifiers, drinking from baby bottles and sippy cups?

I was at the local high school today and noticed a large number of high schoolers engaging in this. What's the deal? I know that when I was a teen, we'd use pacifiers while using the drug ecstasy, because it dried out your mouth. BUT that was at raves and the like. I think it's a fashion that stems from ravers......
Probably attention, or just weirdness. Some teenagers like attention, so that is probably the reason for it.
i also know this my babysitter also liked pooh bear and piglet about the time when i was 4 and she was 16 and i didn't understand it. I think they believe it is funny and they are joking around. I'm 13 now and i saw that one of my friends had a princess sippy cup. i was like woah ur real mature and she just said she thought it was funny. all they are is joking around thats all

Yeah actually kids sucking on pacifiers is a drug thing like ecstacy...thats what it means its stupid and i hate drugs

personally i never did this but i had a few close friends who did like to carry around a pacifier on her necklace, i know for sure it wasnt for drying out her mouth but im almost positive it was for attention and attention only.

I have no idea. I live right next to a high school and I see this all the time, too. I think it looks unspeakably stupid. Maybe the kids want to be seen as somebody who uses E. The sippy cups, though? No idea.
i go to a spanish school, and a lot of students go to that.

what!? Ive only been out of high school a year and never heard of such a thing.... well back when I was in JR. High a couple girls wore like pacifier necklaces...but never sippy cups or something....The whole high school must be regressing lol
I have never seen nor heard that, Maybe it was a themed day or like a trend
maybe they wish they were a baby again or they were high and actually thought they were a baby.
I think it is an attention thing that goes into the whole EMO culture. Kids think that by doing this it makes them more emotional, and it is an expression on ones self, but it is a REALLY recent thing, because I graduated 4 years ago and we didn't have anyone who did that then.





But ya know @22 I still prefer Juice boxes over from a bottle of juice (easier to take to class lol)
