Do you beleive that media, clothing companys, music, fancy electronics..ect, are brainwashing teens, why do most teens feel pressured to ';fit in'; ? I feel that many teens today do not have that much individuality and are afriad to express themselves, well the teens i have come across. Has anyone else noticed this?Teenagers??
Well I am 13 (So I guess I am a teenager LOL) anyway, I don't allow myself to go into any click or anything I don't feel comfortable in. A lot of stuff has been changing in the world and teens are the first to know. However, I know my boundries! That is why I luv my life! So in answer to your question yes technology can brain wash teens, but it depends if they allow it to or not.Teenagers??
i would say music artist more then anyone.. they normally set the new trends , wear and apparel.
please dude, teens in my time had no identity of their own either.
It's all about wanting to be liked, so you conform to your peers in order to be accepted by them.
I avoided it for the most part so you know what that means....
My personal style is and was mixed and I never spoke the ';latest'; slang, no drugs or drinking.
Being a teen isn't the problem, the artificial society created by the prison known as High School is what leaves teens with no direction, no interest in knowledge, and an overwhelming desire to date, dress up, show off, and try desperately to be popular to to avoid being harassed for being different. If, instead of being bused of to school young adults could learn a trade, and have the option in their free time to educate themselves by reading and studying, but all the low paying jobs are taken by refugees and immigrants, so there's nothing to do but send teens to do busy work until some of them are ready for college.
in new york you have to wear abercromibe or hollister to be cool. i prefer not to b.c one they are way too expensive and you looks like colons. i prefer to stand out. and yeah i have noticed... its really annoying b/c no one cares how they feel its how others feel about you.
