What happens when unlicensed teenagers get caught driving?

In California, with no license, and no permit... If they get caught by the police, would they simply get fined (along with future license suspension)? Or do they get sent to juvenile hall for a bit? What happens when unlicensed teenagers get caught driving?

It's possible that they'll be sentenced to attempted mass murder and DWU (Driving while underage).

Both of which are punishable under the death penalty.
if it's a chick, the cop makes her polish his helmet. Then he lets her go.

  • Why do most teenagers like take out food, when others in the neighborhood want to buy your good cooking.?

a lot of neighbors love my cooking, home down to earth cooking, from turkeys wings bbq chicken , ribs, fresh greens

seafood salad , cakes, fried fish , smoke neckbones with rice and so on. whats up with these teens. Why do most teenagers like take out food, when others in the neighborhood want to buy your good cooking.?
There really is something about a home cooked meal. Restaurants are just so generic. *sniffs the air* Did you say fresh greens and fried fish? I can't believe they are missing this! They will live to regret it.Why do most teenagers like take out food, when others in the neighborhood want to buy your good cooking.?
im assuming their taste buds are still developing. i use to be the same way when i was a teen
when i go out it is just more convinent at that exact moment. but i would MUCH rather have a home cooked meal. and i love to cook so yeah...but i do see teens who go out all the time and its like...seriously.....there are so many better choices for you. i am not a teen but i was about 2 years ago so i still can relate to this question. i cant stand how many resturants (esp fast food) dont seem to have fresh vegetables. when i bite into a burger, i want my lettuce to crunch, not just go all wilty on me...bleh
#1. Because they CAN. #2. Because their parents are probably paying for it. #3. They've gotten ';picky'; %26amp; spoiled over the years- and wouldn't touch a vegetable or anything HEALTHY- if you paid them. %26amp; #4. They can do ALL their eating- standing over a garbage can, without having to do ANY of the food preparation, clean-up, or disposal of the waste (Unless you're REALLY nimble about getting them to take out the trash- as they're high-tailing it out the door!). :)
It's called independence. Teenagers pick their own foods at a take-out. Even though they may sit at Taco Bell and talk about what a great cook you are, they will still choose the TB Burrito. Go figure.
1.because they are teens 2.They like to gather together. Wish I could eat at your house.
thats kids for you. I'm sure if you went out all the time they would be begging you to cook.
dunno. i hate fast food. i havent had a frie since i was 13. and i havent had pizza since i was 14. home made cooking is always best!
its faster most of the time. taste good, but itll probaly be the death of us lol
It depends on the way they are brought up

    Your cooking sounds good =)
they call it style and ram bunches, ha.''
I don't know. I'm a teen. I prefer my Mom's home cooking. But if I'm out and about I prefer fast food. It easier than going home to eat when you want to go and run some more.
I think they just want freedom and sometime you just get tired of eating at home. You could take your kids out a couple of time and maybe they will get sick of fast food. Sometime fast food just taste better ,but at the same time your kids should be thankful you cook. Sometimes I have to cook for myself ,but I am use to it. Hey can I come over and you can make me some bbq chicken and ribs , just joking ,but your food sounds better than my food at home . Or it could be possible they want to get away from home. I go out with my friends to go get fast food. If they were to add up the cost of food and had to buy there own food then they will probably realized how lucky they are. You sound like a person who enjoys to cook. Don't let it get to you . Keep up the great work.
no time to waste making it so why not go out and buy it its cheaper and faster

What challenges are teenagers supposed to face?

I am a teacher in a high school %26amp; i need to know what types of challenges teenagers supposed to face?

Cheers. What challenges are teenagers supposed to face?
They aren't supposed to face the kinds of challenges they often do.

I knew kids who had eating disorders, abused substances, had abusive parents, and had no money to buy lunch. I had a friend who got pregnant and still managed to graduate in the top 25% after having the baby.

Almost everyone I knew was on anti-depressants. I would be willing to say that close to half of the people I knew had attempted to commit suicide at least once, and that I'm not sure that I knew anyone who didn't think about it on some level.

Personally, I dealt with my peers (mostly guys) constantly telling me about how much of a ';failure'; I am, and how I should end my life. I also had my fair share of death threats, and my parents' house got robbed, egged, and paintballed a number of times. When I heard this stuff enough, I started to believe it, and I will never be ok again.

That's what they face. What challenges are teenagers supposed to face?
There really aren't any challenges you can prepare yourself for other than the incredibly general ones. Nowadays, teens are getting into more and more trouble with different things. You can't just have a list of challenges because new ones are being added almost every day.

There's alcohol, drugs, sex, pregnancy, STDs, dating, friends, being outcasts, depression, self hurting, eating disorders, steroids, abuse, deaths, peer pressure, lack of money, lack of the ';cool'; things, school (work, teachers) the list can go on and on.
wow well i'm name stuff a lot of teenagers have to go through...

Peer pressure, drinking, drugs, smoking, self harm, depression, eating disorders, low confidence, appearance, spots, boyfriends/girlfriends, puberty, school work etc.

They range from little things to major things.
Drugs, Drinking, 'Self Harming', Depression, Guilt of lying to family, Being Shy, it's all very general.. and pretty easy to figure out. Teenagers face a lot of difficult things nowadays.
Teachers that don't leave them alone.

I am glad you are taking interest but if you try to force your help on them it could harm them. Be careful, you're on thin ice.

Also: Sex, Drinking, Family issues, pregnancy, general brainlessness; i.e. the above problems.
Peer Pressure, drugs, sex, relationships with others and education.
    sex

    drugs

    keeping up with grades

self image issues leading to eating disorders

    and ofcourse ';peer pressure';

What age should teenagers start working out?

Im almost 16. I plan on starting strength training now but I'm concerned I'm not quite old enough to even be developing a lot of muscle. As of now I run quite a bit (I'm a track athlete) and I can make progress that matches the abilities of an adult, so will I be able to develop bulk as well? What age should teenagers start working out?
you are right at that age where people start working out. i think it would be great for you to do this. if you start now you will be healthier in the long run. there is absolutely nothing with starting to work out now. i'm 15 and i work out. What age should teenagers start working out?
well you could of started in the age of 13 me and my friends have a lot of muscle because we work out a lot (we are 14)and because were athletic we also are in track .but we don't try to get a lot of muscle because it would slow us down when we have a track meet.you.

p.s if you do start working out don't' try to get big or you will get slow and not be able to run as fast
You could start as young as 15. Just don't overdo it so your muscles aren't sore. Every other day. The muscles build on the off day, believe it or not. When I was in high school a lot of 15 year old freshmen were getting started weight training, this was in the 80's though.
teenages should be working out every day no matter the age. Working out is the every day exercise. As for going to the gym, 15 or 16 is the right age.

Yeah you could, focus on lifting during your daily workout. Do pushups. weights, and other things.

    good luck
16 is a good age to start, make sure you have a coach or a schedule put together by a coach, otherwise you won't build good muscle. You can bulk if you'd like but be sure that you are safe about lifting
now a good time for you and also at 16 u can start building up muscles

What can 50 teenagers do for entertainment on a 17 hour greyhound bus trip?

My youth group and i are driving from idiana to colorado, this will take quite a while. We have a committee dedicated to our entertainment. If you have any game ideas, or just random fun things to do, it would be appreciated. What can 50 teenagers do for entertainment on a 17 hour greyhound bus trip?
There are always the stupid games that aren't really meant to be all their amusement, but are something to do. A youth group I used to know would play ';Hey Cow';, it was a dumb game where, when you pass a bunch of cows on the trip you stick your head out of the window and yell hey cow. You get a point for everyone that looks. What can 50 teenagers do for entertainment on a 17 hour greyhound bus trip?
portible dvd players, tons of dvds, ipods, psp's, cell phones, laptops, truth or dare, talk about really embarrasing stories, ghost stories, magazines, books, sing, makeovers and it will look bad but it would be funny(even on the boys lol.), make videos on a video camera, camera(take pics), and tons of cds to play! have fun:]
Get trucks to honk....i always have fun doing this....split bus in half...tons of fun but so dorky!!

    Also, watch movies

Could have some kind of envelope game where someone writes something on it and then they are passed around the bus....

    idk...these r just a few suggestions
you could maybe get some kind of karakoie thing happening. that would make everyone laugh!!! or also movies if there is a tv in the club. People could bring in movies that they liked. have some kids learn magic tricks and show them off and then teach them.
Start singing the ';1 billion bottles of beer on the wall'; song.

Or, better yet... (link is g-rated)

    listen for ur favourite music.

if u have laptop u can bring it and watch films or something.

    jokes.

    create song lyrics.

    do something crazy like jackass.
Bring a big bottle of KY Jelly, a deck of cards, 4 dice, 2 ducks and a hamster....then live it up! Oh, don't forget the matches.
You take a category, music for example. Then people will yell out bands or songs. and everyone will be like yeah they are good. or no they suck.
I hate saying this but there ain't that much to do. Especially with Greyhound, those seats are almost right on top of each other.

If study shows teenagers are supposed to get 8-10 hours of sleep why does school start so early?

Most schools start from 7-9 AM, and teenagers go to sleep from 10pm-2am everynight. So that means they wake up around 6am. This means most teenagers when school is in session get 4-7hours of sleep each night. If study shows teenagers are supposed to get 8-10 hours of sleep why does school start so early?
Good point. I wish we would start later. If study shows teenagers are supposed to get 8-10 hours of sleep why does school start so early?
Some school district are starting HS later than ES, as long as the elementary kids don't have to be at the bus stop before the sun raises.

teenagers need to go to sleep earlier. the system will not change for you. you need to adapt to they system.

actually i am a student attending a high school. school for us starts at 7:40 in the morning when middle and elementry school starts between 8:10 and 8:40. the reason teenagers start early is so we get out of school earlier. most teenagers have jobs so with school getting out early we can go to work

I agree with u but the sooner we get to school, the earlier we get out. But one thing that really annoys me is how teachers pile alot of homework when for example we have to use most of our sleeping time since we need more sleep than anyone else.

Because the high schools and middle schools usually share a transportation system with elementary schoolers.

They can't have have high school/middle school start later because that would mean the elementary school has to start earlier. School systems don't want there to be elementary schoolers waiting for the bus in the wee hours of the morning.

And also becuase If the highschool/middle school starts later, that means extra ciriculars will end even later then they usually do. So instead of ending a basket ball game at around 9pm, all of a sudden your ending around 11. maybe even midnight.

So having highschools and middle schools start later kinda kills two birds with one stone: keeps teens off school grounds at late hours, and keep little kids off the streets during the morning when its dark.
Actually, you bring up a good point. A lot of parents are advocating for school to start later. But if you think about it, adults get off work at 5 and they still have to make dinner, finish presentations, and stuff just like teenagers.

If you get off school at 3, and go to bed at 10, you can get 8 hours of sleep while having 7 hours of time after school. If it takes you 1 hour for band practice, 4 hours for homework, 1 hour for dinner, and then 1 hour for TV andchores and having fun, then I think that it's enough time to do everything that u need to do. It's just about managing your time correctly and making the most out of every minute. In other words, stop staring at your computer screen doing nothing!
I just wanted to point out that the hormones running rampant in teens screws up their internal clocks, and if left to their own devices will sleep mostly during the late morning and early afternoon.

Schools run on adults schedules, not the kids or teens.
School starts early in order to end early; no sane teacher/student wants to be at school from 10-6.

Although, you do raise a legitimate point. The argument to be made here is that teens need to go to bed earlier.
Do you think--maybe--that teenagers could have the judgement and maturity to go to bed earlier? Just a thought.
